Hi
I'm so glad you are a part of this community full of Makers of Home, Imperfectionists and Cozy Minimalists who believe that making home is a worthwhile endeavor--not so we can show off, we don't care about that, but so we can use our home the way we've always dreamed.
Here are a few home tips, resources and events I think you'll enjoy::
A Cozy Minimalist Christmas Home Decor Guide :: A guide to all the stuff you see in my house during the winter season-- the stuff that I get asked about the most. It's all linked here in one post (if it's actually linkable and not something I found second hand or at HomeGoods).
Limits can be freeing, especially when it comes to collections. And Christmas collections can be the most difficult collections to limit.
Speaking of limits, let's talk about traditions. Or as I like to call some of them, "mom chores."
If a Christmas tradition makes you grumpy or tired or if you are dreading it, that's simply a green and red flag telling you that it's time to reconsider if it's a worthwhile, meaningful, family tradition that has actual purpose or if it's a mom chore that's done again because it's always been done and no one has told her/you she can stop.
This is me telling you, you can stop.
You know the difference, you just have to decide if it's time for a change.
Saturday December 8
The Depot at Gibson Mill
Concord, NC
I've been working hard to fill the tiny house with highly curated winter and Christmas decor and curiosities, mostly from my own collection. These items are ready for a new home and I hope you find a little something to take home with you.
You'll find a little vintage, a little modern, most with a nod to nature including lots of textures and mixed metals, rustic woods, cozy furs, interesting shapes and scale, along with masculine and feminine pieces that cater to the five senses.
Basically, all of my favorite kinds of things will be for sale in the tiny house!
I'll also have books available for purchase and I'll be signing books at the Tiny House from 11:30-12:30.
We'll stay at The Depot selling wares until we sell out, so stop by early!
The Open House starts at 10am. And guys it is SO worth the drive! There's a diner in The Depot, Iva Jean's Fudge will be there, live music, giveaways and of course the booths at The Depot will be decorated for Christmas!
PS, if you are frustrated with your home this holiday season, if you are feeling overwhelmed with stuff, or hosting or holiday decor--I made this class just for you and there's currently a $5 coupon. click here to find out more.
