It's been a long process, but we finally finished phase one of our basement remodel--we created a family room and a little office for me in the basement.

This basement was one of the
most overwhelming areas of our fixer-upper and I'm still AMAZED at the power of prepping the canvas of our house --getting the walls, ceilings and floors to a point where I like them--so that they look good naked or empty-- and also how much white paint can brighten even a space with just a little natural light.
