Hi
I can't stop looking at these instagram photos and I thought you might be inspired by them too:
Wall of rainbow books by @abeautifulmess "Itβs my favorite DIY project of all time, I think."

I've got two new posts for you at Nesting Place
This house came with a 30 year old vinyl pool that desperately needed attention (broken main drain, peeling walls, cracks and leaks) so we (Chad and his friends and our boys) tore out the old pool and started fresh.
Chad has worked with a friend's commercial pool company for a few years--so this wasn't a DIY we attempted without experience, but
they enjoyed this project so much, they're now in business designing and building residential pools in the Charlotte area. They do everything from landscaping, hardscape, retaining walls, fireplaces and patios to the finished pool. So you only have to deal with one company for the entire thing. Praise hands.
We're about 85% done in the photo up there--but look at the difference with the
before!
Y'all, the One Room Challenge (ORC) Reveal is today and I'm so distracted by Angela's makeover. Remember my muse, Angela's Cottage from 2010? Well, this is the new guest suite in what is no longer a vacation rental but now someone's home. Check out the entire renovation--I cannot believe I'm saying this, but I'm obsessed with those purple
lights!
Β Every year I like to invite 50 of my favorite curators + artists, 10 of my favorite authors, musicians and food trucks and YOU to my house in the fall.
Save the date :: October 20 is our third annual Nest Fest here at my house and barn in
Midland, North Carolina. We're about 20 minutes east of Charlotte and we host this event at our home on our 12 acre property. Hospitality is so important to us, and Chad and I are so happy that we have a place big enough to invite the online community and practice what I preach: imperfect hosting.
I really hope to see you at my house this fall!
