Hi
I cannot believe these words are coming out of my computer, but it's almost officially spring.
You
are either so over winter and your millions of feet of snow, or, maybe like me, you feel secretly cheated, but publicly thankful that you got that one day of snow this year.
Either way, it's coming, and so is our seasonal photo challenge, I'd love to have you join us on Instagram starting March 1.
1. Mantime
Men have come from Texas, Michigan, Minnesota, Washington state and a bunch of other states near and far. Registration is open now--it sells out every year so hurry. Introverts welcome, there are no cheesy games or forced sharing times. Go ahead and tell your husband about this, he's invited, to rest, listen and simply be.
Hospitality is important to us, and it's so fun to get to host a few things for you, our online community. Every year we have two public events at our home and it makes this online world feel smaller. Our fall event is centered more around the ladies (Nest Fest in the fall) and Mantime, our spring event is for the menfolk.
2. Our basement renovation is moving right along.
Here's a sneak peek at my office (ya'll that chair was $299 from At Home) the bunk/piano wall is still a mess, but look, we've got a huge sofa! I promise
to do a big post or two all about the details, but I'm so excited about it, I wanted you to see how it's coming along.
If you purchased the Season
Pass I'll email you as soon as the new videos are live. If you want to be the first to know when the class opens, sign up here.
4. Two books I'm obsessed with.
The book on the left, Decluttering at the Speed of Light is
the first book I pre-ordered this year. I pre-order about 3 books a year, they are always books I'm so excited about reading, that I don't want to forget to buy them. Bonus--if you pre-order the book, it arrives in your mailbox the day it releases! So fun.
Anyway, y'all, Dana has no idea who I am, but she is my decluttering MENTOR. She is brilliant and funny and logical and her methods just work.
Last year I read her first book, How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind and instantly fell in love and felt like I found a person whose brain works the same way mine does. And her new book just came out this week and I think everyone needs to read it.
Listen, I know these covers aren't all cutesy and pretty, I almost passed them by because of it, but these books are like decluttering, house-organizing-philosophy BIBLES. Order a fresh set of highlighters while you are at it.
Okay, y'all, that's it for now.
Hope to see you and your perfectly imperfect spring home on Instagram in the #MyCozySpringHome feed!
