💌 A note for homebodies and regular people like us

Published: Mon, 12/12/16

Hi

Oh friend, let me just tell you, I have been sick for over a week and I am SO OVER feeling yucky. It is the worst, I really hope you don't get the flu this season. Shall we talk more about my sickness and how I've gone through three boxes of Kleenex?

Let's not, because I have some fun things I want to tell you about!

I read a bunch of great books this year--aren't books the best? And I made a list of my 12 favorite books--PLUS if you are in the market to buy a book, today is your lucky day, Amazon is offering $5 off any $15 book purchase--read all about it here. And be sure to leave a comment and share what book(s) were your favorite this year. I've found some of my favorites from your recommendations!

Isn't this photo charming? I was so inspired by this little village, that I modified it for regular people like us! Here's a DIY Christmas Village for Cozy Minimalists.

I didn't make an official gift guide this year, but I did add some of my favorite gifts to give and receive to my "shop my house page" in case you are in need of the perfect gift for the homebody in your life.

It's time! The 11th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes is this Thursday--it's been around the internet longer than I have. There are two ways to join in this year--check them out here.

I'll be taking some time off during the holidays--and I hope you will too--but if you need some extra inspiration here are two things to keep in mind:

1. Instagram--if you need some daily home inspiration--come hang out with me on Instagram.

2. The hope*writers podcast--if you are a writer or long to write, you will LOVE season two of the hope*writers podcast with me and my sister Emily, our dad and our friend Brian. Listen here.

I hope you have a restful and slow Christmas. Thank you so much for spending some of your precious 2016 with me at Nesting Place.

so much love to you today,
