A Note from Myquillyn, The Nester

Happy Monday!

It has been a fun few weeks here at our place. We've had guests stay with us pretty much every day for the past 8 days--from our friend John who has been helping us get ready for Nest Fest, to Tsh from the Art of Simple who came to town to record some fun things she'll be sharing in a few weeks. My sister and her girls came also visited and we had a girls day (complete with kittens) along with our mom AND, lastly, my friend Melissa from Relish Design Co spent the night because she was helping with Megan's wedding...

My sister snapped this photo of Megan's Dad walking her down the aisle. If you've been to an event here at our place you've probably met Megan--she helps make our events beautiful and run smoothly, if you are a Cozy Minimalist and taken the Design Course--you've heard her voice on the recordings with me. Megan married Tripp last night and everything was simply gorgeous.

Here's what's been going on online at Nesting Place the past week or so...

A Cozy Minimalist Fall Tour & links to some other fall styles I think you'll really love.

Recently, I commissioned Mandi from Dry Ink Designs to create a map of my favorite places to shop & stop for a bite to eat in and around the Charlotte area. From time to time I'll get tweets, instagram comments and facebook requests asking for my favorite places to find great home stuff for great prices in our town--and I've been wanting a map like this for a long time. It turned out just lovely.

You can download the map right here in the Nest Files --don't forget to check out the other resources in there--it's a perk for you because you subscribe to this email list--Thank You!!

The next book on your fall reading list--did you hear? Beth Moore wrote a NOVEL!! And it's REALLY GOOD!!

Lastly, here are the most recent weekend links--with a slight focus toward creativity.

It's kind of sad here today at home without some extra house guests, as an introvert, I've learned that having people over is the BEST way for me to get to hang out with the people in my life. Much better than trying to meet at some loud restaurant after dark. (Why doesn't anyone ever hang out at 6:30 am?!...but I digress)
